MAIN CHARACTERS

Jana “Stringfellow” Gerard
Voiced by Hayley Brown

Jana is a former field agent with the International Technologies Security Agency (ITSA). She has recently moved to the small Prairie town of Greenway along with her former agency partner Midnight, a sophisticated AI who lives in her spywatch.

Jana is pragmatic, extremely observant of the world around her and loyal to the few friends she keeps. As a child she loved working on computers and tinkering with old technology. This passion would later lead her to a career as a Technician’s Specialist with the US Army and eventual recruitment to the ITSA. Jana now works as a technician at ‘The Retro Revival,’ a local tech store that specializes in old tech and refurbished computers, appliances, and products.

While she’s new to Greenway, she has slipped into a comfortable routine of predictability that was a welcome change from the constant threat of danger and fluidity that working the field required. While friendly, calm and approachable, Jana has only recently started to form bonds with some of Greenway’s residents, thanks to the gentle encouragement of Midnight.

In Flashbacks, we learn about her career in the ITSA when she was partnered with Midnight, and how they came to reside in Greenway.

Peter “Spellbound” Sinclair
Voiced by Cody Monkman

A Municipality Enforcement Agent for the Town of Greenway and magic enthusiast who side-lines as the town’s amateur stage magician “The Great Spellbound”.

Peter is plucky, positive and enthusiastic, always trying to look on the bright side of things. Though, he’s not really motivated to move beyond his realm of comfortability, opting to take things one day at a time. This is much to the chagrin of his sister Cecile, and despite encouragement from his best friend Max.

Peter’s life turned upside down when he became magically bound to the Book of Time, Space, and Spells. As the new Master of the book, Peter was granted access to centuries of spells and wonders that he never thought possible. Luckily for him, the book is haunted by Izzy, one of the guides for the book who acts as Peter’s teacher and has become one of his most loyal friends.

In Flashbacks we learn about how Peter came into possession of The Book of Time, Space and Spells.

Midnight (MID-00)
Voiced by Alvin Cadonic

Midnight is a quirky and excitable sentient AI who resides in Jana’s spywatch. Highly curious and overly positive, Mid enjoys exploring their creative and adventurous side whenever possible. They choose to see the world for the wonders it offers and often tries to encourage Jana to branch out of her comfort zone.

Despite Mid’s retro look, they are actually a highly sophisticated piece of technology with advanced processing, sensory and offensive systems that served as a prototype AI companion for ITSA Field Agents. After a mission went bad, Mid was ordered destroyed for defying orders that ultimately saved Jana’s life, but demonstrated they had evolved beyond the agency’s comfort of control. Luckily Jana along with their commanding officer Bernard, were able to fake Mid’s destruction and save their life so Mid could join Jana in Greenway.

While Midnight is able to communicate freely with Jana, everyone else within earshot is only able to hear a series of beeps when Midnight speaks.

Izzy, The Beginner’s Guide
Voiced by Mel O’Leary

Izzy is a spontaneous and wise-cracking 12 year old girl, who happens to be a ghost that is bound to the Book of Time, Space and Spells. She provides guidance and assistance to the entry level Masters of the Book, such as Peter.

Izzy knows what page every spell is in the book but isn’t able to cast magic herself. She’s also unable to remember the previous Masters of the book, how she died, how she came to haunt the book or why she is so unsettled around water. Instead of dwelling on these unknowns however, Izzy chooses to focus on the little things in the afterlife, like imagining what marshmallows used to taste like or practicing ghost pressing buttons on the TV remote.

Izzy has taken Peter under her wing as her trusty sidekick. While she constantly teases and takes pleasure in annoying him, she has come to care for him like a goofy older brother. Peter has promised Izzy that he’ll one day find a way to break her free from the book.

Cecile Sinclair
Voiced by Laura Butler

A kind and gracious spirit, Cecile is known for always lending a helping hand and offering a sympathetic ear. She’s often seen as the kind of person who loves to help others, sometimes, even if they didn’t ask for or want her help. Cecile is an avid gardener and owner of Greenway’s Old Flower Shop, your one stop shop for her miracle plant fertilizer, Kelp Help.

Together with her wife Anne, Cecile once belonged to a secret Coven of Magical Practitioners known as The Greenway Witches. Specializing in Life Magic with a focus on plants, Cecile takes pride as a greenthumb, exploring how her magic interacts, strengthens and revitalizes her plants. Cecile realized at a young age that she had the gift of magic, known as attunement, but chose to hide her abilities from Peter. She and Anne are unaware that her brother Peter, has also recently become attuned and come into possession of the Book of Time, Space and Spells, a book that she is very familiar with.

In flashbacks, we come to learn that Cecile’s experience with the book was much different than Peter’s has been. She was previously guided by the book’s Advanced Guide, Belle, after it was eventually shared with the Coven by its former Master, Allen.

Anne Sommers
Voiced by Jacy Young

Anne is an outgoing, friendly and assertive individual that knows what she wants and calls it like it is. A respected Thanatologist and local philanthropist, Anne is also Cecile’s loving and encouraging wife..

Anne specializes in Necromancy that pulls magic from the Liminal, the boundary separating this world and the afterlife. Anne comes from a long line of Practitioners and spent most of her childhood summers in Greenway with her Mother and Uncle Allen, moving there permanently after completing University. Over the years Anne expanded her attunement to focus on the development of Familiars, which lead to the creation of Rufus, her fancy looking undead garbage eating Jacobin Pigeon sidekick and loyal companion.

In flashbacks, we come to learn that Anne and Allen did not have the best of relationships stemming from Allen’s behavior and entitlement to the Catacombs, which acts as the Greenway Witch’s Covenstead. Once provided access to the Book, Anne and Cecile become close with Belle, the Advanced Guide of the Book.

Allen Sommors
Voiced by Jared Singer

Allen was the previous Master of the Book of Time, Space and Spells and the uncle of Anne. He’s a brash and blunt individual who is highly focused and determined to excel in his spellcraft, always pushing the limits of what he can do. He has little care for the feelings of others and isn’t afraid to point out flaws in others.

In Flashbacks, we learn about Allen’s tenure as the Master of the Book, and his tumultuous and confrontational relationship with Belle, the Advance Guide of the Book. Allen spent years working on creating Don’te, an island created by the memories of its inhabitants that exists in a pocket dimension within the book itself. His goal was twofold: provide himself the ultimate playground to practice his magic where he wouldn’t have to worry about space restrictions or collateral damage, and provide him a launchpad to secure more magical artifacts like the Book.

Belle, The Advanced Guide
Voiced by Mel O’Leary

Belle is the Advanced Guide for the Book of Time, Space and Spells. Whereas Izzy is young, spontaneous and outgoing, Belle is more disciplined, distant and reserved with a deep, calming stare. Her knowledge about being a Practitioner and the art of spellcraft are unmatched. While she can be fairly supportive and comforting, demonstrated by her interactions with Anne, Cecile and Izzy, whom she affectionately calls her “little ghost”, she can also be cruel and calculating, especially when it comes to Allen.

In Flashbacks we see how difficult her relationship with Allen is during his tenure as the Book’s Master, as well as how she would later guide Anne and Cecile. We also learn about how the book will end up with Peter.

Little is known about how she and Izzy ended up as the guides for the book, but we soon learn that while the Guides do not have magical ability in the surface world, on the island, Belle not only possesses Attunement, but is a powerful spellcaster.

Max Tenners
Voiced by Syd Luna

Max is Peter’s lovably approachable best friend. Husband to Gyle and father to Lily, Max is known around town as the resident conspiracy theorist and as the Greenway resident with the record for the most ghost sightings. But while Max swears that the ghost sightings are real, most in the community assume that it’s a way to promote his business.

Max’s Emporium sells movies, comics, board games, music in both modern and retro forms, action figures, items of the mystical arts and video games. While Peter has yet to accept his long standing offer to partner up to expand his Emporium, Max’s encouragement has led to Peter’s weekly magic shows, which have proven to be a hit.

Max’s explorative nature has gotten him into some tricky predicament. He is unaware that he’s occasionally being controlled by a sinister force from another dimension and that he unwittingly sold Peter the Book of Time, Space and Spells.
